Grading On a Curve (Wikipedia): A (top 20%) B (20-50%) C (50 to 80%) D /F(80 to 100%)

Top 80% passes a class; (4/5^3)+retake =50% That means Only 50% graduate with bachelor degrees. retake and ease and tuition (effects cancel out)

If B- is minimum; that means in 4th year, (0.8^3)(0.5) = 0.25 or 25%.

When Industry hires people;, the estimation is Min. is B+ for grades;; (0.3)(0.5) 4th year, =0.15 or Top 15%

Just Grade requirement itself takes only top 15% applicants and rules out 85% applicants,
